New ABC Music & Me session for 2 - 4 years and 4 to 6 years.
These preschool music classes are a research-based language and early literacy program built around music.
ABC Music & Me helps develop pre-literacy and language skills through a child’s most-loved rituals: music and storytime.
ABC Music & Me supports the early childhood standards and requirements for “high quality programs” as defined by the National Institute for Early Education.
Plus for the older age group, ABC Music & Me aligns with pre-K national and state standards.

Listening activities help “tune” a child’s ear for improved areas in language and attention skills that ensure early school success.

Instrument play-alongs develop hand-eye-coordination, physical coordination, and a sense of steady beat to help carry out activities such as using a pair of scissors. A multi-sensory approach to teach concepts such as loud and quiet or high and low strengthens the learning. Stop-and-go, as well as creative movement and dance activities improve coordination, sequencing, self-control, the ability to follow directions, and plan and guide behavior. Tune active listening skills as children are exposed to a variety of musical genres, sounds, poems, and stories each month. Critical listening activities help “tune” a child’s ear for improved areas in language such as phonemic awareness and pronunciation. Invite conversation about cultures and traditions by listening to music and genres from around the world, such as jazz, folk, Latin American music, World music, Bach, and Mozart. Introducing a variety of sounds will provide opportunities to connect the music to other activities throughout the day. Pattern recognition improves with exposure to rhythm and repetition of the integrated songs and stories. MONTHLY home materials include: one CD, Family Activity Guide, and a new instrument EVERY OTHER month.
Fees:
Registration, Tuition, and Materials: $50.00 for 4 weeks, Sibling Fee: $30.00 for 2nd child enrolled in ABC Music and Me.
